Will graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Communication Studies, cum laude, from Cornell College in 1999. He studied law at the Northwestern University School of Law, one of the top ten law schools in the country, earning a Juris Doctor degree with dual concentrations in 'Civil Litigation & Dispute Resolution' and 'Law & Social Policy' in 2002. While in law school, Will was a member of the Northwestern Trial Team, and he and his teammates won the 2002 National Championship. From 2002 until 2006, Will worked as an Assistant State's Attorney in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, working in the Criminal Appeals Division and the Traffic and Misdemeanor Division. From 2006 until 2008, Will worked as an Assistant State's Attorney in the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office, working in the Misdemeanor Division, the Felony Review Division, and the Felony Trial Division. At the time that he left the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office, Will was assigned as the Felony Narcotics Unit Supervisor, where he was ultimately responsible for all felony narcotics prosecutions in the county. Will has tried more than one thousand jury trials, bench trials, and hearings on motions and petitions, has presented more than seven hundred fifty felony Bills of Indictment before the Grand Jury, and has successfully argued multiple cases before the Illinois Appellate Courts. Will has appeared in courtrooms throughout northern Illinois, and has received praise for the clarity and strength of his arguments and briefs, as well as his ability to persuade. Will lives in Woodstock with his wife and children.
